Since early this year, Vietnam has welcomed more than 4.8 million
foreign arrivals, up 15.8 percent compared to the same period last year,
according to the Vietnam Administration of Tourism (VNAT).
China ranks first with 1.1 million visitors, followed by the Republic of Korea,
Japan, the US, Cambodia, Taiwan, Australia, Malaysia, France and Thailand.
The number of Thai tourists to Vietnam has decreased by 20.7 percent due to the
natural disasters which hit Thailand in recent months, causing huge material and
human loses.
Vietnam is expected to receive 5.5 million international visitors by the end of
this year.
