The private airline Air Mekong will offer a new domestic route from Vinh in the northern province of Nghe An to Pleiku, in the central highland province of Gia Lai from December 1.
As per schedule, flights will depart Pleiku Airport at 5pm and Vinh Airport at 6pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
On this route, the carrier will offer a promotional discount of 50 per cent on tickets priced between VND 1million and VND1.35million (excluding tax and additional fees) from December 1-15, 2011.
Air Mekong will operate additional flights on routes Hanoi-Phu Quoc-Da Lat and HCMC-Phu Quoc-Con Dao. The carrier will sell some 40 seats on each flight for VND1.35 million.
In related news, the private airline Viet Jet Air has completed legal proceedings for its first commercial flight in December. According to Vietnam Civil Aviation Administration, Viet Jet Air has hired three Airbus A planes to operate routes including HCMC-Hanoi-Da Nang, Hanoi-Da Nang.
