The annual Craft Village Fair 2011, a part of activities in
preparation of the Da Lat Flower Festival 2011 by the Ministry of Agriculture
and Rural Development in collaboration with the Lam Dong Provincial People’s
Community will be held from December 29th to January 3rd , 2012 in the Central
Highland province of Lam Dong.
The event aims to promote craft villages and their products, honour craftsmen
and boost trade and tourism activities. It will also contribute to preserving
and developing national cultural identities.
The fair will display and sell products of various groups. A display will
showcase ceramic products, lights and flowers while another will feature rattan
products, silk, brocade fabric, conical hats and flower products.
In particular, the fair will also save considerable space to exhibit a craft
village, and introduce 100 photographs about Vietnamese traditional handicrafts.
There have been 180 showcases from 24 provinces across the country registering
to join in the fair.
