A large number of Vietnamese and foreign artists will gather at Heineken Countdown Parties in Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang City on December 31 to welcome the New Year 2012.
Christmas 2011 jubilantly celebrated in Vietnam
2011 – Year for live shows of foreign stars in Vietnam
The countdown with the participation of famous singers, musicians and dancers, American guitarist Joy Basu, singer Aimi, DJ Emrah Is and DJ Liviu Hodor from European Countries together with local artists namely Ho Ngoc Ha, Yen Trang, Tieu Chau Nhu Quynh, Ha Anh Tuan, Hien Thuc, and Minh Thu will be broadcast live on HCM City’s HTV7 channel at 23:30.
Pedestrian-friendly streets in HCM City will be spruced up with special decorations.
Meanwhile, Nha Trang City will be lit up by a 10-minute firework display on New Year’s Eve.
Initially launched at Times Square in New York in 1907, the countdown to New Year event has been held in major cities around the world ever since.
This is the third time such an event will take place in Vietnam under the sponsorship of Heineken beer.
