The Dalat Flower Festival, organized once every two years,
officially opens on December 31 night at Lam Vien square in to promote Dalat as
a romantic destination for travelers.
The stage at Lam Vien square is decorated with thousands of fresh flowers and
with over one thousand performers scheduled to participate, the opening ceremony
promises to be a unique night full of traditional and modern music and dance, as
well as a fireworks display.
The main streets of Dalat city and the area surrounding Ho Xuan Huong lake have
been covered in floral decorations this year.
Famous local flower villages such as Thai Phien, Ha Dong, Van Thanh have also
introduced special floral products in honor of the festival.
According to the organizer, the this year's highlights will be the “Street
festival," the “Flower and light festival,” and the beautiful arrangement at the
Da Lat Golf Course, which will include a diversity of flowers ranging from the
wild bonsai to the tulip flower carpet.
