Viet Nam topped the list of the world's emerging tourist
attractions this year, according to a recent official report by the United
States Tour Operators Association (USTOA).
Viet Nam was closely followed by India, Ecuador and China on the list of
destinations that US tour operators consider as increasingly popular in the year
to come.
The USTOA's list was announced at an annual conference held on Marco Island,
Florida.
Smart Travel Asia, a prestigious online travel magazine, also highlighted
Vietnamese tourism by recently listing Ha Noi and Hoi An as among the most
attractive tourist destinations in Asia last year.
Smart Travel Asia's list was compiled according to votes cast by the online
magazine's one million strong worldwide readership.
