Dear Miss Lan,
How sorry I am to be so long in writing to you. I have meant to do so
ever since I got home.
When I think back on our adventure in Viet Nam, I find the highlight was
Dien Bien Phu! Well, really, that was just one of the highlights, but it
certainly was a special place; and our adorable little non English
speaking guide was the most special part of it.... Did I tell you we had
dinner with her sister, brother, and three of the brother''s friends? It
was a whole adventure unto itself.
Overall, my only suggestion to you is that you encourage your clients to
be sure to have a copy of their itinerary as written by you. It seemed
to be the inclination of the guides everywhere to do what they were used
to doing in their area and not necessarily adhere to what it was that
you had laid out. It seems that each guide wanted to see a copy of the
itinerary, but then ignored whatever he felt wasn''t important! Not a big
problem, but it could have been.
I still loved the Camelia Hotel the most;
Wish I knew what else I should/could be telling you... I know you
appreciate the feedback, but right now, I don''t know what to tell you
other than we enjoyed our trip very much... I wish we had had more time,
as it seemed we were in and out of places sooner than I really wanted to
be, but Mark would never have settled for more scheduled time!
The cruise was ''''okay'''', but our land time in Viet Nam and Cambodia was
by far our favorite part of our time away.
