HTML clipboardHi Hien,
Thank you for your email.
How are you doing? The service we got both in Vt and Cd were great. I''m
sorry but have to say that the lunch service was mostly bad to worst according
to my previous experiences. Too much money orientated, most restaurants were not
willing to serve even plain (drinking) water or tea in order for us to spend
extra money, money. In our packaged tours to China and Korea, SOFT drinks and
hot tea were included, but beer with extra charges. Sadly, in Vietnam and
Cambodia, we had to pay extra to get regular water or hot tea to be served. It
should be stated up front in your itinerary that water and tea is extra. If
restaurants do not want to serve water or soft drink or hot tea, then cheap
lunches should NOT be included as to dinners. I''d rather have lunch with my own
MENU and drink water or beer with my own expense as we did for DINNER.. A lot of
choices!
All I''d like to say is All DRIVERS & GUIDES were splendid!! very
professional! but Lunches were BIG Minus ( -- )! (Except one lunch at a local
garden like restaurant which was the best in the whole trip!) I did always
complained to the local guides about cheap lunch without tea or water, if you''d
rather ask them.
One more thing Id like to complain about is too many stops for (forced)
shopping at local guide choice; stone carving, wood carving, jade carving to
name a few without asking us in advance. We came to sight seeing, not for
shopping, unless we ask for it. One or two is enough, I understandably accept,
but just for the commission for the guide, we had to surfer a lot. But I did tip
every local guides and drivers.
Please forgive me if I''m too frank and candid.
Sincerely,
Albert
